Understanding the spiritual realms around us is crucial for navigating our Christian walk. Today, I want to clarify a significant misconception many believers have about the marine world and its distinction from the underworld. These are completely separate spiritual realms, each with their own characteristics and purposes in the cosmic order.

The marine world is not the underworld, though many use these terms interchangeably. The marine realm is actually a mirror dimension beneath the sea—a spiritual world that exists parallel to our physical reality. Unlike the underworld, which consists of hollow places within the earth (what science might call black holes), the marine realm is a holding place for specific spiritual entities. The Bible describes these dark places as being “filled with habitations of cruelty,” revealing the true nature of what some falsely portray as beautiful kingdoms.

What’s particularly important to understand is the origin of this realm. God designed the marine world as a mirror dimension, similar to how Eden was created as a spiritual realm on earth. However, dark forces have infiltrated and hijacked this realm, using it as a base for deception, seduction, and spiritual control. The marine realm is now occupied primarily by hybrids—beings born from the unholy union of fallen angels and humans—who have no place in God’s original design. These beings are part spirit, part human, possessing supernatural abilities while exhibiting human-like behaviors.

The conflict we see playing out across these realms fundamentally comes down to a battle for territories. Since Satan’s fall, when he first conceived evil in his heart and began taking territories not assigned to him, this cosmic war has continued. Satan, who once was a great star that Earth orbited around, fell in his attempt to expand his domain. This resulted in him having no territory of his own, which explains his desperate desire to claim Earth through deception. When Adam surrendered his God-given authority, Satan gained a foothold he wasn’t meant to have.

These marine spirits and other dark entities cannot simply operate in your life without permission. They require legal ground through covenants and initiations. This explains why they seek to establish agreements and soul ties with humans—it’s their gateway to accessing and controlling territories that rightfully belong to God’s children. When they promise wealth or power, they’re actually plundering what’s already yours, offering a counterfeit version of what God intends to give you freely.

Understanding these spiritual dynamics should compel us to take our prayer life seriously. If God were to open our eyes to see the constant spiritual activity around us, we wouldn’t miss our prayer times or neglect growing in spiritual fire. The universe contains many uninhabited realms, and the deep sea is one such realm that evil has infiltrated. Yet remember, even these spirits acknowledge there is only one true God. They know the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) and recognize His ultimate authority—they just don’t want you to discover the power you have in God’s name.

As believers, we must recognize that through Christ, we have authority over these realms. The things some worship as gods should actually bow to us when we move in the name of Jesus. Don’t be deceived by promises of marine wealth or ancient knowledge—these are simply tools of seduction designed to separate you from your true inheritance in Christ. Stay vigilant, pray consistently, and stand firm in the knowledge that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
