Many people claim they’ve been told their origin is in water, that they are “marine royalty” or have special connections to the sea realm. This teaching has gained traction in certain spiritual circles, but it requires careful Biblical examination to separate truth from dangerous deception.
The Bible does acknowledge water’s importance in creation. In 2 Peter 3:5, scripture tells us that “by the word of God, the earth and universe was formed out of water and by water.” This reveals that water played a crucial role in God’s creative process. Our physical bodies even begin life in the amniotic fluid of our mothers’ wombs. However, this limited truth has been twisted by spiritual entities seeking to manipulate humans into believing they originated from marine spirits or have special connections to underwater realms.
Understanding the spiritual hierarchy is essential for believers. According to Genesis 1:26, God gave humans dominion over “the fish of the sea” and all creation. This includes any spiritual entities associated with water. Rather than being subservient to marine spirits, humans—especially those redeemed by Christ—have authority over them. The Bible clarifies that believers are “seated with Christ in heavenly places” (Ephesians 2:6), positioning them far above any marine realm or its inhabitants.
What many call “marine spirits” are actually related to the Nephilim described in Genesis 6—hybrid beings resulting from fallen angels mating with human women. When these hybrids died, their spirits had nowhere to go. Unlike pure humans who go to Hades/Sheol or heaven, or angels who have designated holding places, these hybrid spirits were condemned to wander the earth. Many found refuge in water bodies, creating what we now call the “marine kingdom” or “mirror dimension.”
This mirror dimension beneath our physical world isn’t superior to our realm—it’s actually a “shadow of a shadow.” Our earth universe is already a shadow or reflection of heaven, making the underwater spirit realm even further removed from divine reality. These spirits aren’t royalty—they’re desperate entities seeking human connection and sacrifice to fulfill their insatiable hunger. They can never experience true satisfaction and envy humans’ capacity for fulfillment and divine connection.
Marine spirits operate by deception, presenting themselves as beautiful or powerful beings while concealing their true corrupt nature. They cannot simply take control of a person’s life; they require permission through covenants, rituals, and initiations. This is why they work hard to convince humans of special “marine connections” or “royal bloodlines”—to gain consent for spiritual access and control.
For believers, the solution is clear: recognize your true identity in Christ. You are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), chosen before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4), and seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). This spiritual positioning gives you authority over all realms, including any marine kingdom. Breaking covenants with these entities and claiming your divine authority through Christ restores your rightful dominion.
The mirror dimension may create impressive illusions and false promises, but it remains inferior to even our physical world. As Jesus stated, Satan is “the father of lies” (John 8:44), and his deceptions include false origin stories designed to entrap. Instead of seeking “deep revelations” from darkness, believers should rely on the Spirit of Truth who guides into all truth (John 16:13).
Remember: water gives life, but that doesn’t make you a mermaid or marine royalty. You are royalty through Christ—a child of the living God, the King of kings and Lord of lords. Living in this truth is your greatest protection against spiritual deception and manipulation.
